Once that's out of the way remove the single screw. Next remove the battery tray. Now the key is ready to open. It just pulls apart the join is along the top edge. Occasionally it was not registering that the clutch was pressed and so on coming to a stop I would expect the ECU to be confused about how the car was stationary, in gear, engine running, with clutch "not pressed", hence couldn't decide whether to engage hill hold or not.
djs93. 374 posts · Joined 2013. #2 · Apr 14, 2015. If it's like mine, 147 JTDM, then it's above the arch lining on drivers side. It's held on by 4/6 8mm bolts and it's a real tight squeeze to try and pull it out from the top, so I removed it by removing part of the arch lining first. Save Share.
