A TDI would never spin fast enough to make one work properly. The ultimate street TDI clutch would be one that is designed to handle huge amounts of low-rpm torque and still have a reasonably progressive take-up. A Power Clutch sounds like a good option. Perhaps an "organic" Sachs race clutch, too.
The 1,6td unit has a turbine housing of a 0,36 ratio. This will make your 1,9 liter engine perform really well from approxiamately 1000rpm to about 3000rpm. Might be great for heavily congested city traffic tho'. The 0,36 unit is too small even in a 1,6liter engine if you wish to push the engine performance anywhere beyond light tuning.
Enter our dynamic idle tune: The idle also will return to stock if ~12 minutes has been reached, regardless of coolant temperature. If the car starts up with the coolant temperature already at 60C+ (140F+), the idle RPM will immediately be stock. The VW 1.9 litre turbo diesel is a four-stroke, so if it breathed if it were a 100 per cent volumetric efficient naturally aspirated engine, at the redline of 4500 rpm it would inhale (4500/2 * 1.9) = 4275 litres / minute.
